Recipes for the big game...here's to the weekend

Hi Friend,

Are you a football fan? Perhaps just there for the apps and commercials (raises hand). Today I'm going to share recipes for the big game, dips, mains, and sweets, hope you find something you love!

Theme of the week: recipes for the big game

First off, the apps, the dips!!

Pepperoni dip

If you’re looking for a wonderful easy dip everyone will devour, make this 5 ingredient pepperoni dip for your next gathering. Ooey gooey cheese and pepperoni make for the most dip-able dip ever!

Cheesy bacon dip

If there’s one dip you’re going to want to make to bring to parties, it’s this cheesy bacon dip. Simply put, it’s the best dip ever!!

Sausage dip in a bread boat

If you can think of your favorite spinach dip and amp it up a notch or two, that’s this dip! The combination of parmesan cheese, sausage, spinach and peppers makes the most tasty, cheesy sausage dip – and the best part? It’s served in a bread boat!

Cottage cheese dip

If you’re on the lookout for a quick, easy, healthy dip to bring to a party, look no further! Let me introduce you to this insanely delicious and healthy cottage cheese dip that takes just minutes to make. With only four simple ingredients, this dip is not only easy, and light and airy but also packs a powerful protein punch, making it an ideal accompaniment to your favorite chips or veggies. I'd suggest doubling the recipe for a big party.

Promise it doesn't taste "healthy" -it's delish, tastes like a ranch dip!!

Caprese skewers

Super easy and great if anyone has gluten dietary restrictions because these are gluten free!

Now it's time for the mains!

Cuban sliders

This recipe for Cuban pulled pork sliders is made with the most tender, delicious, slow cooker Cuban pulled pork, which is then used to make slider sandwiches.

Beef dip sandwiches

When you’re looking for a meal that’s super easy to put together and that everyone will love, look no further than this 5 ingredient French dip sandwich. It’s warm, delicious and a great classic recipe! The beef is slow cooked to perfection in a flavorful sauce that makes for the best beef sandwiches (with au jus dipping sauce)!

This is a party favorite in our house!

Slow cooker chili bar

Everything you need to make a delicious slow cooker chili, along with topping ideas for how to set up a chili bar!

Sheet pan pizza

Sheet pan pizza is the answer to your family dinner dreams. It’s easy to make, feeds a crowd, and is endlessly customizable to please everyone at the table. Whether you’re hosting a casual get-together or just want a simple dinner that feels a little special, sheet pan pizza delivers big on flavor, fun, and convenience.

Bourbon brown sugar wings

It wouldn't be game day without wings, am I right? These are sure to be a crowd pleaser!

The best part - dessert!

Salted caramel chocolate chip cookies

I don’t throw around the term ‘the best’ lightly, but these truly are the best salted caramel chocolate chip cookies…EVER! Make them for your next party or get together and everyone will be asking you for the recipe between bites of cookie!

Seasonal snack mix

Make game day special by using your teams colors in this seasonal snack mix!

These smores bars or these oatmeal chocolate chip bars are two others I love for parties.

On the blog this week

In this weeks love list I’m sharing some cute new shoes I found, a new book and a gift box I sent someone and my amazing mop that's saving my floors!

Tuscan turkey bean and pasta soup

Packed with protein, veggies, and tender pasta, this dish is an easy weeknight wonder that feels cozy, comforting, and even a little elegant.

Everything I read in January 2025

I read a total of 14 books in January, 4 of them were 5 star books! Check out everything I listened to and read this past month!

Personal Stories

Frankie was Star Student this week, that meant that she got a little Pete the cat doll and then Pete got to go on adventures. Pete went with Frankie to see The Lion King movie (as a mother, I cried 3 times! I loved it, Nick not so much lol), then Pete got to go to a concert at the library and to the mall with the kids aunty!

Then I took Ben to the pediatric dentist. Ben has some cavities, he cried and then I cried seeing him cry. He was so brave, it was only the consult, but still!

Thursday nights have become so special. Nick and I go to a yoga class and then to sushi. Kid free, I feel so blessed and thankful to my mother in law and our old babysitter who is coming out of retirement for making it possible for us to do this.

Links I'm loving

2 links I've been loving lately:

  • Singing praises to the roof, this mop has been a floor saver all winter long - I've had this mop 5 years, no problems, and it still cleans like day 1
  • It's been 3 weeks since I've had this incredible purse. It's so beautiful and functional and affordable (it's $60 but I got it on sale for $31!). Totally recommend if you're looking for an everyday purse.

Reader Comments and Recreations

I love seeing your recreations and hearing your feedback, thank you for taking the time to comment on the recipe - it truly helps it get seen by others!

“Made this for a little get together on Friday night. Very easy and everyone loved it. Yummy!!!”
